BMC ( bulk moulding compound ) are obtained by blending unsaturated polyester resins with fibre glass and fillers. Special batch mixing machines are used to ensure homogeneous dispersion of the fibers into the paste and therefore, to achieve a good wet-out. BMC can be moulded with injection or compression process for large-scale production of medium-size or small complex parts.

Typical applications include demanding corrosion resistant large components for automotive (headlamp housings), electrical engineering ( boxes, cabinets, covers, low and medium voltage parts, insulators ), building construction ( road equipment ) and sanitairy ( sinks, bath tubes, show plates, house hold appliances ).
